Australian company submits planning for a 10-hour electricity ESS project

[SMM Breaking News: Australia's Long Duration Energy Storage Breakthrough: Stor-Energy Submits 10-Hour Energy Storage Project Plan] Australian energy storage developer Stor-Energy has officially submitted the Columboola energy storage project plan to the federal government's *Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act* (EPBC), proposing to construct two large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the Western Downs region of western Queensland. The project includes a dual-system setup of 150MW/1,449MWh (10-hour) and 400MW/1,950MWh (5-hour), with a total investment scale of 3,399MWh. The site is located in the town of Columboola, 322 kilometers north-west of Brisbane, adjacent to the existing Columboola substation and Condamine gas-fired power station.
