SMM data shows that the operating rate of enamelled wire industry machinery this week declined by 2.73 percentage points MoM to 78.07%, with new orders also dropping by 3.12 percentage points. The days of finished product inventories rose to 10.11 days. The rise in copper prices during the week suppressed downstream purchase willingness, coupled with weak demand during the industry's off-season, resulting in a significant MoM decline in both the operating rate of machinery and new orders.
