Bengbu Economic Development Zone recently announced an environmental impact assessment for the scrap lithium battery comprehensive utilization project of Anhui Chengrui Energy Technology. The project will be constructed in three phases: Phase I plans to annually process 7,000 mt of power batteries for second-life application, Phase II will annually process 3,000 mt of scrap batteries and disassemble pole pieces, and Phase III will involve the construction of a smart factory, with a total leased factory area of 42,000 m². As a significant industrial base in China, Anhui has formed an entire industry chain for "lithium battery production - recycling". Currently, one out of every seven lithium batteries and one out of every eight NEVs produced nationwide are "made in Anhui". According to the "Working Plan for the Development of the NEV Power Battery Recycling and Utilization Industry in Anhui Province", multiple provincial-level recycling and utilization industrial bases will be established by 2027, creating a nationally influential industrial cluster. Currently, key projects such as Leisai Ke, Cuixing Technology, and the 250,000 mt annual end-of-life battery processing project of Sugaoxin have been implemented in the province, accelerating the transformation of the manufacturing industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green development.
