The partnership brings together two of China's most established industrial powerhouses in a push to integrate home, vehicle, and lifestyle ecosystems at scale.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 23, Haier Group and Changan Automobile signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in Chongqing, laying the groundwork for deep collaboration across a range of emerging sectors including new energy vehicle, intelligent manufacturing, supply chains, health tech, and global brand development, according to press releases from both sides.

The partnership brings together two of China's most established industrial powerhouses in a push to integrate home, vehicle, and lifestyle ecosystems at scale.

A key focus of the collaboration will be the development of a unified "car-home-life" ecosystem. This includes co-developing intelligent vehicle-appliance integration, creating in-car smart appliances, and building a full-chain cold logistics solution that spans home and mobility scenarios. The two sides also plan to jointly explore new vehicle products, customized car modification services, and vertically integrated media strategies to drive innovation across the auto value chain.

International expansion is another core pillar of the alliance. Haier and Changan intend to align their overseas service networks to enhance the global competitiveness of Chinese brands.

The partnership also extends beyond mobility and manufacturing. The two companies will collaborate on cutting-edge technologies such as humanoid robots and industrial automation, while also advancing initiatives in healthcare-mobility integration and small business incubation. By interlinking their respective digital platforms and user ecosystems, Haier and Changan are positioning themselves to create a unified innovation loop that strengthens both brand ecosystems.

Changan Automobile, with a heritage dating back 163 years and over four decades of vehicle manufacturing experience, is in the midst of transforming into a smart, low-carbon mobility technology leader.

Haier, a global household name with over 40 years of development, continues to deepen its presence in the real economy through its three major business ecosystems: smart living, health tech, and digital industry.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
