Aclara Seeks $1.5 Billion to Support Latin American Rare Earths Project

According to foreign media reports, Aclara Resources is actively communicating with US government agencies to secure $1.5 billion in funding support for its rare earth mining project in Latin America and its planned processing facility construction in the US. Company CEO Ramon Barua revealed that Aclara has submitted funding applications to relevant agencies and will further elaborate on its needs and plans in Washington. In the future, Aclara aims to carry out mining operations for ion-adsorption clay deposits in Chile and Brazil. Meanwhile, the company is planning to select a site for its processing plant in the US, with Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina, and Virginia all being considered as potential locations. It is worth mentioning that Aclara has also reached a cooperation agreement with German magnet manufacturer Vacuumschmelze GmbH, and the two parties will jointly build a related facility in South Carolina.
