Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 18, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") released its financial results for the second quarter (Q2) of 2025. The company reported revenue of 52.348 billion yuan, up 7.78% year-on-year and 30.81% quarter-on-quarter. Net profit surged to 4.586 billion yuan, marking a 19.46% increase over the same period last year and a sharp 161.91% spike from the previous quarter—setting a new record for single-quarter earnings.
This stellar performance was underpinned by a product strategy driven by innovation and diversification across commercial and passenger segments. In Q2 2025, GWM sold around 313,000 vehicles, reflecting a 10.07% year-on-year increase and a 21.87% rise from the first quarter (Q1). This marks the company's best-ever Q2 sales. New energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 97,900 units, growing 33.7% year-on-year and 56.4% quarter-on-quarter, while overseas sales hit 106,800 units, underscoring GWM's steady global momentum.
Q2 also marked the official launch of GWM's new product cycle, with a refreshed lineup including the TANK 300, the second-generation Haval Xiaolong MAX, and the all-new WEY Gaoshan. These new entries collectively contributed to the company's across-the-board growth in sales, revenue, and profit.
In the SUV segment, Haval continued to strengthen its market presence with a user-centric approach. The brand introduced several key models in Q2—the second-generation Xiaolong MAX, the Haval Menglong (oil-fueled version), and the 2025 Haval H5—targeting both family mobility and outdoor adventure needs.
WEY, GWM's premium NEV brand, advanced its intelligent electrification strategy with the launch of the Gaoshan 8 and Gaoshan 9 in May. Both models come equipped with Coffee Pilot Ultra advanced driver-assistance systems, the next-gen Coffee OS 3.2 smart cockpit, and Hi4 performance configurations—designed to meet the diverse travel scenarios of modern multi-generational families.
TANK remained a leader in China's high-end off-road segment. As of June 30, its global cumulative sales had surpassed 700,000 units.
ORA, GWM's electric sub-brand focused on small and compact EVs, launched the 2025 ORA Good Cat and Good Cat GT Mulan Edition in June, combining elegance with practicality.
GWM Pickup expanded its lineup with the market launch of the Shanhai POER Hi4-T and the Shanhai POER 2.4T global edition in Q2.
Meanwhile, its motorcycle brand SOUO, known for the world's only horizontally opposed 8-cylinder, 8-speed powertrain, began selling the fourth batch of the S2000 in May, which sold out rapidly upon release.
In the commercial vehicle space, GWM unveiled the G1050 hybrid heavy-duty truck on June 25. The model delivers a powerful 1,050 horsepower while achieving a fuel consumption reduction of 15% to 25%, positioning it as a flagship in the company's G Series.
On the global front, GWM accelerated its transformation from "product export" to "ecosystem export." The automaker has now established over 1,400 outlets in overseas sales channels, with cumulative sales surpassing 2 million units outside of China.
