The parties will deepen collaboration across multiple areas including battery asset management, industrial investment, and capital markets.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 21, Wuhan Weineng Battery Asset Co., Ltd. (Mirattery), a battery asset management company backed by NIO and CATL, signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Wuhan's Optics Valley Smart Manufacturing Industry Park Construction Service Center (Optics Valley) and Hubei Science Technology Investment Group Co., Ltd. (HBSTI) respectively, according to a post on Mirattery's WeChat account.

The parties will deepen collaboration across multiple areas including battery asset management, industrial investment, and capital markets. HBSTI, a major shareholder of Mirattery, has further increased its investment during Mirattery's Series C funding round, demonstrating strong investor confidence in Mirattery's business prospects.

Leveraging the solid industrial foundation, world-class business environment, and cutting-edge research and talent advantages of Optics Valley, Mirattery established the comprehensive research institute in 2022, which in 2025 becomes an internship and practice base for Huazhong University of Science and Technology, one of China's first "Double First-Class" universities.

As Mirattery's founding shareholder and a key industry investor in Optics Valley, HBSTI has injected powerful momentum into Mirattery's establishment and development, helping Mirattery rapidly grow into a leading player in the field of battery asset management. Since its founding nearly five years ago, Mirattery has already managed more than 27GWh of operational battery assets, serving over 350,000 users.

This new agreement marks a significant upgrade in the ongoing collaboration between Mirattery and Optics Valley. Moving forward, Mirattery will continue to uphold the principle of mutual benefit and deepen its involvement in the high-quality development of Optics Valley, a national-level high-tech zone. By firmly rooting itself in Optics Valley's fertile development grounds, Mirattery aims to enhance the region's scientific and technological innovation capabilities and industrial strength, contributing to the establishment of a globally leading new energy industry hub in Optics Valley.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
