General Administration of Customs: Increased supply from Congo and Russia leads to rebound in China's copper cathode imports in June

Online query data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) showed that China's imports of copper cathode in June were 337,000 mt, up 15.15% MoM and up 9.23% YoY.

Online query data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) showed that China's imports of copper cathode in June were 337,000 mt, up 15.15% MoM and up 9.23% YoY. Among them, the Congo remained the largest supplier, with a supply volume of 118,300 mt, up 30.99% MoM and down 21.18% YoY. Russia was the second-largest supplier, with a supply volume of 45,000 mt, up 19.15% MoM and up 663.00% YoY. The US siphoned off copper supplies from South America, Africa, and other regions, yet China's imports of copper cathode still increased.
