HBIS Signs World's First Large-Scale Export Order for 100,000 mt of Hydrogen-Based Metallurgy Green Steel

Recently, HBIS secured export orders for 10,000 mt of hydrogen-based green steel, which is scheduled to be shipped to an end-user in Italy before month-end August. The company expanded its overseas market through the Duferco platform, aligning its operations with European market demands and policy frameworks. During preliminary negotiations for this order, HBIS conducted a full-process carbon footprint assessment and provided the customer with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certificate. This order achieved a 50% reduction in carbon emissions per mt of steel, marking HBIS's first 10,000-mt breakthrough in green steel exports. In the next phase, HBIS plans to explore the possibility of jointly building a green and low-carbon steel industry chain with its client.
