Titan Mining Corporation has provided an update on its Kilbourne Graphite Project in New York, announcing significant progress toward commissioning a fully integrated graphite processing facility at its Empire State Mines. The company remains on track to begin domestic production of natural graphite by Q4 2025, marking what would be the first such U.S. operation in over 70 years.
Over 50% of major equipment has already been delivered, with installation scheduled to begin in August. The facility has secured all key operating permits and aims to qualify for sales by Q1 2026. Notably, more than 90% of the equipment has been sourced from North America, primarily the United States, underscoring Titan’s commitment to supporting a resilient domestic supply chain.
Recently, the U.S. Commerce Department said it will impose preliminary anti-dumping duties of 93.5% on anode-grade graphite imported from China. Accordingly, Titan highlights that its graphite will be tariff-free and insulated from global trade disruptions. The project also benefits from existing infrastructure, including an experienced 135-person workforce and on-site logistics and power.
