According to data from the online inquiry platform of the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of copper ore and concentrate in June amounted to 2.3497 million mt, down 1.91% MoM and up 1.77% YoY. Among them, the shipments from the top two suppliers, Chile and Peru, continued to pull back, with Peru experiencing a larger decline of around 15%. This year, the long-term contract TCs negotiated between domestic smelters and overseas miners have dropped to zero, and spot TCs for domestic copper concentrates remain at low levels, suggesting that the tight copper ore supply situation is temporarily difficult to alleviate.
