According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China exported 12,222.29 mt of copper enamelled wire in June 2025, up 18.35% YoY and up 0.93% MoM. From January to June, China exported a total of 69,586.5 mt of copper enamelled wire, with a cumulative YoY growth rate of 25.32%. (HS code: 85441100)
Customs data reveals that China's copper enamelled wire exports took on a new trend in June 2025, with changes in both total volume and the destinations of exports compared to June 2024. Specifically, in June 2025, China's copper enamelled wire exports covered 146 countries and regions. Among them, exports to Turkey and India were 490 mt and 707 mt respectively, showing significant YoY growth of 542.44% and 157.86%. In contrast, exports to Indonesia and the Philippines pulled back, decreasing from 645 mt and 691 mt in June 2024 to 330 mt and 633 mt, with YoY declines of 48.79% and 8.39% respectively.
Overall, China's enamelled wire exports maintained a good momentum. Affected by factors such as market demand and policies, there were significant changes in export volumes to some countries. According to SMM, the industry is currently in the off-season, with export orders showing weak growth. Coupled with the uncertainties brought about by the "tariff storm," there is a strong wait-and-see sentiment in the market. It is expected that exports may decline slightly in July. However, in the long term, with the recovery of manufacturing in overseas emerging markets, there is still potential for growth in enamelled wire exports, and close attention should be paid to the implementation of trade policies and the recovery of demand during the peak season.
