In June, Chongqing Iron & Steel dispatched 86,000 mt of materials via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, achieving its planned target. The corridor, officially launched at month-end in May, adopts direct railway transportation from Fangchenggang, Guangxi, to Chongqing Iron & Steel, saving 23 days of transportation time compared to traditional river-sea combined transportation. Previously, Chongqing Iron & Steel faced issues such as high logistics costs and limited efficiency in raw material transportation. The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor adopts a "sea + railway" model and implements a "two-invoice" railway transportation system (from Fangchenggang to Wangjiaba), reducing congestion and high costs associated with traditional logistics links. To meet transportation demands, Chongqing Iron & Steel's logistics team increased the daily container unloading capacity from 20 to over 100 containers within a month, optimizing the turnover efficiency of the material yard. This transportation effort has accumulated experience for Chongqing Iron & Steel's subsequent use of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, which can also be utilized for product exports in the future, including to the Southeast Asian market.
