Recently, the Management Committee of Chongqing Tongnan High-tech Zone released the pre-approval announcement for Chenzhi Anqi (Chongqing) Recycling Technology Co., Ltd.'s annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons of used lithium batteries for cascade and recycling use (original project name: Capacity Construction Project (Phase I)). The advancement of this project is of significant importance for the development of the local and national used lithium battery recycling industry. The overall project plan is divided into three phases. Phase I: Cascade utilization of 0.1 GWh waste lithium batteries, recycling of 20,000 tons/year of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries (actual recycling: 10,000 tons/year waste lithium iron phosphate batteries and 6,000 tons/year waste lithium iron phosphate cathode sheets. The cathode sheets are components of lithium batteries; 6,000 tons/year of cathode sheets yield a black powder amount equivalent to that from 10,000 tons/year waste lithium iron phosphate batteries. Total converted to 20,000 tons/year waste lithium iron phosphate batteries). Phase II: Recycling 10,000 tons/year waste lithium batteries. Phase III: Cascade utilization of 2 GWh waste lithium batteries, recycling 40,000 tons/year waste lithium batteries.
