According to SMM, this week's copper wire and cable raw material inventories were driven by the centralized cargo pick-up from stockpiling by some enterprises in the earlier period. Despite cautious procurement amid the off-season and bearish expectations, inventories still increased by 3.36% MoM. Finished product inventories, however, slightly decreased by 0.25% under end-user funding pressure, stimulated by the "prepayment discount" strategy adopted by individual enterprises.
