[SMM PV News] According to SMM, the foundation pouring for the steam turbine of the China Energy Engineering Group Hami "PV (Thermal) Storage" 1,500MW Multi-Energy Complementary Integrated Green Electricity Demonstration Project has been completed. This marks a key milestone for Xinjiang's largest single-unit concentrated solar power (CSP) project, laying the foundation for subsequent grid connection and power generation. The project has a total installed capacity of 1,500MW, with an estimated annual power generation of nearly 2.9 billion kWh. It adopts next-generation CSP technology, with a localisation rate of core equipment exceeding 99%. By combining CSP and PV operations, it aims to stabilize power supply fluctuations and enhance power quality, striving to create a 100% clean and adjustable power supply model that is friendly to the power grid.
