Recently, the price of LCO has risen slightly, primarily driven by the continuous increase in the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate and the strong bullish expectations for Co3O4 triggered by relevant policies in the DRC. On the supply side, producers of Co3O4 have quoted high prices, and LCO cathode plants have reduced their purchase willingness for high-priced raw materials. On the demand side, demand in end-use applications has been weak, showing a downward trend in the demand for LCO. Overall, driven by the rising cost of core raw materials, it is expected that the price of LCO will face significant upward pressure in the future.
