According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China's exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products reached 489,000 metric tons in June 2025, down 19.84% year-on-year and down 10.60% month-on-month; the cumulative export from January to June was 2.919 million tonnes, down 8.00% year-on-year.

In June, the export of aluminum sheet, strip and foil decreased month-on-month, and overseas customers basically completed the stocking in the third quarter, and the action of grabbing exports obviously cooled down. In terms of products, the export share of canned automobile panels can still be maintained, but the export volume will inevitably decline in July and August when the stocking action is completed. In terms of double-zero packaging foil, overseas demand has further weakened, and domestic enterprises have been pushing down the export premium to seize the export share. It is expected that with the further decline of export volume in July and August, the competition for processing fees will become more intense. According to SMM research, there is no obvious increase in the export of aluminum profiles, and the industry is still facing downward pressure. According to SMM, enterprises in the eastern region reported that they had a small number of orders for industrial profiles with countries such as South Korea and India. According to the feedback from an enterprise in the east, the exported building profiles are mainly curtain walls, doors and windows, and still maintain a certain export scale. Faced with the direct export blocked, some 3C profile enterprises turned to the mode of "semi-finished products export+overseas deep processing". SMM will continue to pay attention to the actual implementation of export orders and the timing and implementation of tariff policy adjustment in exporting countries.
