33 mt of gold and silver concentrate were robbed in Mexico — According to recent reports by local Mexican media, armed robbers in Mexico hijacked a truck carrying 33 mt of gold and silver concentrate. Although the truck was later recovered, the trailer containing the gold and silver concentrate remained missing. This batch of precious metals belongs to Grupo Minero Bacis, a Mexican mining company. Against the backdrop of global macroeconomic uncertainty driving up gold and silver prices, this precious metal robbery also highlights the surge in highway robberies in Mexico, with one robbery occurring every 50 minutes.
