[Memorandum of Understanding on the Implementation and Review of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement]
On July 15, under the joint witness of Premier Li Qiang of the State Council and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Secretary General of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Andrew Gocher signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation and review of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.
Since its entry into force in 2015, the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement has effectively promoted the development of bilateral economic and trade relations, yielding fruitful results. In 2025, which marks the 10th anniversary of the agreement's entry into force, both sides will take this opportunity to maintain close cooperation, continue to implement the agreement with high quality, jointly conduct a review of the agreement to identify areas for further improvement or expansion, enhance the level of trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and provide a higher level of institutional guarantee for bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
