15 people injured in fire at Kaohsiung battery factory

An energy company in Xiaogang District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, China caught fire early in the morning on the 14th. A large amount of thick smoke billowed from the building on site, and explosion sounds were heard. The accident resulted in 12 employees suffering minor abrasions and 3 firefighters suffering minor burns, all of whom were sent to the hospital for treatment. Public information shows that this battery factory is Taiwan's first super battery factory, producing high-end, high-capacity, and high charge-discharge power nickel ternary batteries with an annual capacity of 1.8 GW (gigawatts).
