According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in June 2025, China's crude steel production was 83.18 million mt, down 9.2% YoY; pig iron production was 71.91 million mt, down 4.1% YoY; and steel production was 127.84 million mt, up 1.8% YoY. From January to June, China's crude steel production was 514.83 million mt, down 3.0% YoY; pig iron production was 434.68 million mt, down 0.8% YoY; and steel production was 734.38 million mt, up 4.6% YoY.
