Pickup truck exports surged by 41% in H1

China Passenger Car Association (CPCA): From January to June, 158,000 pickup trucks were exported, up 41% YoY.
According to CPCA data, in June 2025, the pickup truck market sold 48,000 units, up 7.5% YoY compared to June 2024, and down 7.4% MoM from the previous month, remaining at a high level over the past five years. From January to June 2025, the pickup truck market sold 307,000 units, up 16.4% YoY compared to the same period in 2024. In terms of exports, 26,400 pickup trucks were exported in June 2025, up 18% YoY and down 8% MoM. The proportion of industry exports continued to remain high, with 158,000 pickup trucks exported from January to June, up 41% YoY. The proportion of pickup truck exports accounted for 45% of total pickup truck sales in 2024, reaching 55% in June 2025, and 52% from January to June 2025. The export performance of China's self-owned pickup trucks has improved significantly.
