Almonty Raises Funds to Build Plant in Response to Tungsten Ban

[SMM Tungsten Flash News] Almonty plans to raise $150 million to build a tungsten oxide production facility in response to the US military procurement ban on tungsten from China, Russia, and North Korea starting from 2027. The company owns the Sangdong tungsten mine in South Korea and a mine in Portugal. It recently redomiciled from Canada to Delaware, US, and signed a 15-year supply agreement with US defense enterprises. In Q1 2025, the company reported revenue of CAD 7.9 million and a net loss of CAD 34.6 million.
