GAC INTERNATIONAL delivers 400 AION ES electric vehicles to VEMO in Mexico

The company's local subsidiary, GAC INTERNATIONAL Mexico, has delivered a total of 400 AION ES electric vehicles to VEMO, a leading Mexican new energy mobility company.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC INTERNATIONAL has reached a significant milestone in its push for sustainable mobility in Mexico. The company's local subsidiary, GAC INTERNATIONAL Mexico, has delivered a total of 400 AION ES electric vehicles to VEMO, a leading Mexican new energy mobility company, according to a press release the company issued on July 14 via its WeChat account.

The delivery marks a major step forward in the partnership between the two companies and reinforces their shared commitment to accelerating the country's transition to greener transportation.

VEMO, known for operating one of the most extensive EV charging networks in Mexico, currently manages 1,200 charging stalls across 18 cities and plans to expand that number to 2,200 by 2025. Recently, the company secured 500 million pesos in funding to further scale its infrastructure in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.

Huang Rifei, President of GAC INTERNATIONAL Mexico, emphasized the company's ambitious outlook, stating, "By 2025, we aim to deploy over 1,000 AION EVs and build Mexico's largest electric vehicle fleet. Going forward, we will continue to deepen our collaboration with VEMO to drive industry transformation and accelerate Mexico's shift toward smarter and greener mobility."

During a handover ceremony, Lv Guojie, Vice President of GAC INTERNATIONAL, officially presented the first AION ES to its inaugural customer.

Since entering the Mexican market, GAC INTERNATIONAL has steadily expanded its local product portfolio, introducing a range of popular models that address the diverse needs of EV consumers. From the AION ES and AION Y to the GS8 HEV, the company's offerings support various mobility scenarios while helping steer the Mexican auto industry toward a cleaner, more intelligent future.

Looking ahead, GAC INTERNATIONAL plans to launch additional models including the AION UT and HYPTEC HT, establishing a comprehensive lineup that spans internal combustion engine vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and fully electric vehicles—from entry-level to premium—tailored to the evolving demands of the market.
