On July 9, the green manufacturing project for high-performance rare earth permanent magnet materials with an annual output of 20,000 mt in Phase III of JL MAG Rare-Earth (Baotou) Technology Co., Ltd. commenced construction in Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone. This is another key project in Baotou's efforts to build "two rare earth bases." The project has a total investment of 1.05 billion yuan and covers an area of 115 mu. It mainly involves the construction of green and intelligent manufacturing workshops for high-performance rare earth permanent magnet materials, production lines, and supporting public auxiliary facilities such as substations. Upon completion, the Baotou base of JL MAG Rare-Earth will have an annual production capacity of 40,000 mt of high-performance rare earth permanent magnet materials, further solidifying its position as the world's largest production site for rare earth permanent magnet materials and continuously contributing "magnetic" power to the construction of Baotou's "two rare earth bases.
