[MIIT: Review of Five-Year New Energy Promotion Subsidy Funds, Some Automakers' Subsidies Reduced by Approximately 140 Million Yuan] The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the "Public Notice on the Preliminary Review of the Settlement and Audit of Subsidy Funds for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles from 2016 to 2020." The notice indicates that the actual subsidy funds received by multiple automakers during the audit period were reduced to varying degrees compared to the amounts applied for, with the highest reduction being approximately 140 million yuan. The total subsidy reduction for all applying automakers over the five-year period was approximately 860 million yuan. The reasons for the reductions mainly fall into two categories: first, the vehicle-related certificates did not meet the application requirements outlined in the settlement notice; second, the enterprises failed to upload vehicle operation data as required.
