[SMM Flash News: Xinjiang Ancillary Services] On July 11, the Xinjiang Regulatory Office of the National Energy Administration issued the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Xinjiang Electricity Ancillary Services Market". The ancillary services market categories in the rules include peak shaving services, frequency regulation services, and reserve services. The "Detailed Rules" specify that the upper limit for real-time peak shaving trading quotes is 0.262 yuan/kWh. When quotes are the same, standalone ESS is prioritized for being cleared. Standalone ESS and ESS paired with new energy sources participate in emergency peak shaving for the power grid, with a corresponding compensation price for charging electricity of 0.262 yuan/kWh. The upper limit for declared prices of frequency regulation services does not exceed 0.015 yuan/kW. The upper limit for cleared prices is 0.015 yuan/kW. During the initial stage of the market, there are temporarily no restrictions on the declared frequency regulation capacity range for standalone ESS.
