As of Friday this week, the average spot price of domestic electrolytic manganese (EMM) was 13,400-13,600 yuan/mt, rising by 100 yuan/mt WoW from last Friday; the FOB price was $1,880-$1,920/mt, rising by $10/mt WoW from last Friday. According to SMM, on the supply side, manganese plants had strong reluctance to budge on prices during the week, with firm offers. Traders mostly followed the manganese plants' offers and raised their prices slightly, making it difficult to find low-priced goods in the market. On the demand side, downstream steel mills were cautious about purchasing high-priced EMM and mostly adopted a wait-and-see attitude.
