In the first half of this year (H1), China's excavator sales delivered a better-than-expected performance. According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Association on major excavator manufacturers, from January to June, a total of 120,520 excavators were sold in China, up 16.8% YoY. Among them, domestic sales reached 65,637 units, up 22.9% YoY, while exports amounted to 54,883 units, up 10.2% YoY. Looking ahead to the second half of the year (H2), with the accelerated export of used machinery and policy-driven replacement demand expected to continue to be released, domestic excavator sales are anticipated to maintain growth. In terms of exports, the growth rate of excavator exports in June also rebounded significantly compared to May. In the second half of the year, with the improvement of overseas market demand and a low base, excavator exports are also expected to maintain growth. Since the beginning of this year, top-tier construction machinery enterprises such as Sany Heavy Industry, XCMG, Zoomlion, and Liugong have continued to achieve steady growth in overseas markets, with overseas sales accounting for nearly or over 50% of their total sales. The domestic recovery pace is gradually being transmitted from excavators to the non-excavator equipment sector. Top-tier construction machinery enterprises have generally become "optimistic," expecting overseas markets to continue to perform well while the domestic market steadily recovers.
