According to foreign media reports, a rare earth processing plant under construction in Canada was originally planned to process 400 mt of rare earth elements annually starting from 2025, sufficient to supply the production of approximately 500,000 EVs. However, due to delays in the equipment required for the plant's construction, this year's production is expected to be only close to 100 mt. The plant, located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, will be fully operational by the end of 2026. At that time, it will become one of the first plants to achieve this scale, possibly even the first. It will be capable of producing over 400 mt of Pr-Nd alloy for magnet motors, as well as approximately 30 mt of dysprosium and about 15 mt of terbium.
