ROBOTERA stated that the funds raised would be used to advance the research and development of humanoid robot hardware and software technologies, as well as to accelerate mass production.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 7, ROBOTERA announced that it had successfully raised nearly 500 million yuan in Series A funding. The round was jointly led by Haier Capital and CDH VGC, with notable financial and industrial backers including Houxue Capital, Meridian Capital, Xiang He Capital, and Fore Intelligent Technology, etc. Existing investors, including Crystal Stream Capital, also increased their stakes. China Renaissance served as the exclusive financial advisor for this round.

Founded in August 2023, ROBOTERA is the only embodied intelligence enterprise where Tsinghua University holds a stake, according to an open document. From the outset, the company has adhered to an integrated software-hardware approach, aiming to create universal intelligent agents in the physical world. Its long-term vision is to empower robots to serve various industries and households.

ROBOTERA stated that the funds raised would be used to advance the research and development of humanoid robot hardware and software technologies, as well as to accelerate mass production, driving the "model-body-scenario data" closed-loop system forward at high speed.

ROBOTERA is continually expanding its model and hardware layers. On the model side, it aims to make robots perceive the world and act autonomously, just like humans. The company has introduced the VLA model ERA-42, which integrates visual understanding, generation, prediction, and action into a single end-to-end model.

On the body side, ROBOTERA is working on developing "strong and flexible human-like bodies". Its self-developed humanoid robots are designed to closely match human physical performance, serving as a "universal interface" for interaction with the physical world. This allows the company to expand usable data from real-world machines to Internet video data, solving the issue of data scarcity.

According to ROBOTERA, it has already achieved mass product deliveries, delivering more than 200 units so far this year, with hundreds of additional orders currently in volume production; over 50% of these orders come from international clients, positioning the company as a leader in exporting embodied intelligence technology.

ROBOTERA has also made rapid progress in implementing its technology in industrial logistics and retail chain. The company has launched several key products, including the wheeled humanoid robot Q5 for the service industry, the full-sized bipedal robot SRAR 1 for industrial applications, and the dexterous robotic hand XHAND1. Additionally, the ERA-42 embodied large model allows a single model to control the robot's entire body for agile manipulation.
