Volcan Compañía Minera delivered a strong performance in Q1 2025, supported by increased production, stronger zinc and silver prices, and improved commercial terms for concentrate sales. The company posted an EBITDA of USD 111.7 million, more than doubling from USD 44.8 million in Q1 2024.

Zinc refined production rose 14.1% YoY to 57.4 kt, while lead output surged 43.8% to 16.1 kt. Copper production jumped 47.6% to 1.1 kt. Silver and gold output also increased, by 8.3% and 24.9% respectively, reaching 3.3 million oz and 3.6 thousand oz.

The year-on-year growth reflects a low comparison base due to the temporary suspension of the Victoria plant and Animón mine in March 2024.

Total revenues climbed 57.2% YoY to USD 277.8 million, with higher sales volumes, favorable pricing, and improved terms contributing USD 101.1 million of the gain. Net income turned positive, reaching USD 34.5 million vs. a loss of USD 19.2 million a year earlier.
