In June, the operating rate of copper wire and cable enterprises tracked by SMM was 72.41%, down 9.27% MoM and up slightly by 0.76% YoY. High copper prices curbed procurement, while weak construction demand dragged down operating rates. Orders from the power grid and new energy sectors remained relatively stable but provided limited support. Raw material inventories fell by 3.32%, while finished product inventories rose by 7.52%, indicating weak terminal demand. It is expected that the operating rate will continue to decline to 71.98% in July, with the industry remaining under pressure.
