According to a news release from GRINM New Energy, the first phase of the 10,000 mt/year lithium-ion battery cathode material project, constructed by GRINM New Energy Materials (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GRINM New Energy), has recently successfully passed the planning acceptance by the planning authority of Xinyu High-Tech Zone in Jiangxi Province. This marks that the project has met high standards in terms of planning compliance, construction quality, and supporting facilities, laying a solid foundation for the company's high-quality development. This project is an important layout for the company in the field of new energy materials. The first phase of the project has a total investment of 180 million yuan and a total construction area of 28,000 m², covering functions such as office, R&D, and production.
It is understood that the 10,000 mt/year lithium-ion battery cathode material project of GRINM New Energy includes three main production workshops for automated production lines and supporting workshops. The first-phase workshop has a construction area of approximately 30,000 m², with approximately 135 sets (units) of new production and detection equipment installed, establishing a production line with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons of new-type cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Upon full completion and production, the entire project will have a production capacity of 10,000 tons of new-type cathode materials for lithium batteries, and is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of 2 billion yuan.
According to available information, GRINM New Energy was established in December 2023, specializing in the design, R&D, production, and sales of new-type cathode materials (lithium-rich manganese-based) for lithium-ion batteries. In January 2024, the company commenced the construction of an industrial base with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of lithium-ion battery cathode materials in Xinyu City. The project has been listed as a key project in Jiangxi Province's new energy industry.
