The achievement was reached in just 40 months.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 4, Mr. Kang Bo, Vice President of SERES Group, announced via social media that AITO, the new energy vehicle (NEV) brand co-developed by Huawei and SERES, has surpassed 700,000 units in cumulative deliveries—an achievement reached in just 40 months.

AITO's current model lineup includes the M9, M8, updated M7, and updated M5, all aimed at different segments of the smart NEV market. Among them, the AITO M8, hitting the market on April 16 this year, is positioned as a premium family flagship SUV. It offers three REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) variants—Max, Max+, and Ultra—starting at 359,800 yuan.

With dimensions of 5,190 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,105 mm, the M8 features AITO's signature "Kunpeng design language," blending long proportions and upright stance for a bold, confident look.

The M9 tech flagship model went on sale on December 26, 2023, starting at 469,800 yuan. At launch, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance ("HIMA") announced that pre-orders had exceeded 54,000 units. In March this year, the 2025 M9 was introduced, continuing at the same starting price.

The AITO M9 adopts the brand's family design cues and features advanced Huawei-developed lighting systems, including dual 2-megapixel intelligent projection headlights and an interactive matrix headlamp setup. The model is available in two powertrain solutions: an REEV version powered by the new HG15T engine rated at 118 kW, and a BEV (battery electric vehicle) version with dual motors (160 kW front, 230 kW rear) offering up to 630 km of range.

According to public data, HIMA delivered 52,747 vehicles across all AITO models in June, setting new monthly and daily delivery records with a single-day high of 3,651 units. Of those, 44,685 were from the AITO lineup. The 2025 M9 accounted for 13,718 units in June alone, pushing the M9's cumulative total past 200,000 units, while the M8 recorded deliveries of over 21,185 units that month.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
