Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 3, BYD reached a major milestone as the 1 millionth unit of its Han model was officially delivered globally, marking the first time a Chinese brand has achieved such a feat in the over-200,000 yuan price segment.

Over the past five years, the Han family of vehicles has amassed more than one million units of deliveries worldwide—a testament to BYD's relentless pursuit of innovation in new energy technologies and the growing trust consumers place in the brand and its products.

Among the groundbreaking technologies featured in the Han L EV, the most notable is BYD's Super e-Platform with an all-domain 1,000V architecture. This enables ultra-fast charging at megawatt levels, allowing the vehicle to gain enough power for up to 400 kilometers of range with just a five-minute charging session—dramatically improving convenience and easing range anxiety for EV users.

The Han L EV also exemplifies BYD's deep expertise in electric powertrain development. It is equipped with the world's first mass-produced 30,000 rpm electric drive system, delivering industry-leading performance in both rotational speed and power density. Even the single-motor variant produces an impressive 580 kW.

For the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version, total system output reaches a staggering 810 kW (1,102 horsepower), enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 2.7 seconds and 100–200 km/h in only 4.74 seconds. The model also boasts a top speed exceeding 305 km/h.

Beyond performance, the Han L EV integrates seamlessly with digital ecosystems, offering real-time connectivity and a smarter, more convenient driving experience through its deep integration with internet services.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
