The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) released China's Warehousing Index for June on the 3rd. The index has remained in expansion territory for eight consecutive months, indicating a sustained positive performance in the warehousing industry. China's Warehousing Index for June stood at 51%, up 0.5 percentage points MoM. Major sub-indices, including new orders, average inventory turnover, business profit, and business activity expectations, all rebounded. Specifically, the new orders index for June was 51.6%, up 0.7 percentage points MoM. The index rose slightly in expansion territory, indicating active demand for warehousing services and continued growth in new orders. By category, demand for consumer goods warehousing services performed even better, with significant increases in the new orders indices for food, home appliances, agricultural and sideline products, and other categories. Driven by the continuous growth in business demand, the overall business profit of enterprises also rebounded. The business profit index returned to expansion territory after five months, indicating an improvement in the overall operating conditions of warehousing enterprises compared to the previous period.
