Chery Group reports record sales in H1 2025 with strong gains in NEV, exports

From January to June, Chery Group achieved historic breakthroughs across three key metrics—overall sales, exports, and NEV performance.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chery Group posted robust sales results in June 2025, delivering 233,607 vehicles for the month, up 16.6% year-on-year, according to the company's announcement.

Its core subsidiary, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. accounted for 219,044 units, marking a 15.9% year-on-year increase. New energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 71,582 units, up 59.6% from a year earlier, while exports totaled 106,330 units, growing 9.6% from the same period last year.

From January to June, Chery Group achieved historic breakthroughs across three key metrics—overall sales, exports, and NEV performance. Total vehicle sales for the first half (H1) of 2025 hit a record 1,260,124 units, a 14.5% year-on-year increase. Notably, the company surpassed one million units in just five months, the fastest pace in its history. As of the end of June, Chery had amassed a global user base of over 16.98 million.

Export performance remained strong, with 550,270 vehicles shipped overseas in H1 2025, up 3.3% year-on-year. Chery Group has now surpassed a cumulative total of 5 million vehicles exported globally.

The group's NEV segment saw explosive growth, with 359,380 units sold in H1—an impressive 98.6% year-on-year spike. This positioned Chery Group among the industry's frontrunners both in scale and growth rate. Of all new models launched by the group in this period, 83% were NEVs, reflecting its aggressive push toward electrification.

Performance across Chery Group's five passenger vehicle brands also remained solid:

CHERY brand sold 138,077 units in June, with H1 sales reaching 737,170 vehicles, up 3.15% year-on-year.

EXEED sold 11,899 vehicles in June, with H1 sales totaling 62,668 units, a 15.1% year-on-year increase.

JETOUR sold 55,741 units in June and 299,368 units (+33.9% YoY) for H1, marking the first time its six-month sales surpassed 290,000 units.

iCAR sold 10,868 units in June and 44,510 units in H1, which achieved a 60.5% year-on-year surge.

LUXEED recorded 2,459 units in June and 44,929 units in the first six months, an impressive 165.3% year-on-year soar.
