Pingliang and Hunan Nonferrous Sign Cooperation Agreement on Magnesium-Based New Material Industry

[SMM Magnesium News] From June 30 to July 1, Bai Zhenhai, Deputy Secretary of the Pingliang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Pingliang City, participated in the Gansu Province Project Promotion Conference held in Changsha City, Hunan Province, as part of a delegation. He also led a team to visit Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holding Group to discuss magnesium-based new material industry projects, engaging in discussions and exchanges to further deepen consensus and accelerate the preliminary work. Qu Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holding Group, attended the discussion meeting.
At the Gansu Province Project Promotion Conference held on July 1, Bai Zhenhai and Qu Yang signed, on behalf of the Pingliang Municipal People's Government and Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holding Group respectively, a cooperation framework agreement for the integrated development and utilization of dolomite (magnesium ore) resources. This project will further promote the comprehensive integration of innovation chains, industry chains, and talent chains, accelerate the cultivation of magnesium-based new material industry clusters, and drive Pingliang to better convert its resource advantages into economic advantages, providing strong support for the creation of an innovation zone for industrial transformation and development in the province.
