Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NIO Inc., a prominent Chinese smart electric vehicle maker, announced it delivered 24,925 vehicles in June 2025, marking a 17.5% year-on-year increase.

This figure includes 14,593 vehicles from its premium brand NIO, 6,400 from its family-oriented ONVO brand, and 3,932 from FIREFLY, its small smart high-end electric car marque.

In the second quarter of 2025, total deliveries reached 72,056 units—up 25.6% from the same period last year. As of June 30, NIO's cumulative deliveries stood at 785,714 vehicles.

The company also reported the continued rollout of its in-house developed " NIO World Model" (NWM) to several models including the ET9, new ES6, new EC6, and both sedan and touring versions of the new ET5. This deployment marks the performance validation of NIO's proprietary 5nm automotive-grade AD chip, the NX9031, which has now achieved its design targets.

Infrastructure-wise, NIO is on track to complete its 1,000th highway battery swap station, effectively finalizing its national swap network across major intercity routes. Once complete, the network will link 550 cities, enabling seamless battery swap access between all major cities in China.

Looking ahead, NIO Inc. plans to introduce three new vehicle products in the second half of the year: the third-generation NIO ES8, as well as the ONVO L90 and L80. The flagship L90 SUV will begin arriving in showrooms in early July and will simultaneously open for pre-orders.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
