CATL's Indonesian battery joint venture breaks ground

CATL, along with Indonesia's state-owned enterprises Indonesia Battery Corp. and PT Aneka Tambang, officially broke ground on a battery joint venture in Karawang County, West Java Province, Indonesia. Bahlil Lahadalia, Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, stated at the groundbreaking ceremony that the factory is expected to have a total battery capacity of 15 gigawatt hours, which can power 250,000 to 300,000 units of vehicles.
