Canalys: US desktop and notebook shipments up 15% YoY to 16.9 million units in Q1
According to Canalys data, in Q1 2025, US desktop and notebook shipments increased by 15% YoY, reaching 16.9 million units. As producers stepped up shipments in response to tariff policy adjustments, channel inventory surged significantly, leading to subsequent pressure to clear inventory. Meanwhile, weakened consumer spending will slow down annual growth. It is expected that the annual growth rate of PC shipments for the full year of 2025 will be only 2%. With a large number of Windows system upgrades expected to commence after the termination of Windows 10 services in October 2025, shipment growth is projected to rebound to 4% in 2026.
