Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 29, Leapmotor officially launched pre-sales for its B01 all-electric sedan, offering five variants priced between 105,800 yuan and 135,800 yuan. The model is scheduled to hit the market and begin deliveries later in July.

The Leapmotor B01 adopts a design philosophy rooted in "natural technological aesthetics." Its front fascia features a fully enclosed grille and a split-headlight setup. The upper daytime running light strip incorporates a distinctive three-point light signature, while the lower bumper is accented with glossy piano black trim, enhancing the vehicle's refined look.

From the side, the B01 showcases a fastback silhouette inspired by the dorsal fin of a sailfish in motion—a result of over 10,000 fluid dynamics simulations and 1,000 real-world tests. Combined with low-drag design elements like flush door handles, the car achieves an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.197Cd.

The model measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,730 mm. The rear features a full-width taillight, echoing the front design with its own three-point lighting motif.

Inside, the B01 embraces a minimalist "Dynamic Geometry" design, available in two interior color themes—Mystic Purple and Cloud Gray. The dashboard is equipped with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch 2.5K high-definition central touchscreen. The system runs on the Leapmotor OS 4.0 PLUS interface and is powered by the Snapdragon 8295 intelligent cockpit chipset.

The B01 features a rear-mounted electric motor across the lineup, with power outputs of either 132 kW or 160 kW. It is available with two battery options—56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh—delivering a CLTC-rated range of 550 km and 650 km, respectively. With fast-charging capabilities, the battery can be recharged from 30% to 80% of its capacity in just 18 minutes.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
