At 10:19 a.m. on June 19, amid the flickering flames in the calciner, the calcining workshop of Phase I of the 600,000-mt-per-year new-type prebaked anode project of Inner Mongolia Huodu New Materials Co., Ltd. officially started production. This historic ignition ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Huodu New Materials project, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive advancement of the subsequent Phase I.
The 600,000-mt-per-year new-type prebaked anode project of Inner Mongolia Huodu New Materials Co., Ltd. is jointly invested and constructed by Henan Qinyang Dushi Group and Holingol Chengfa Group. With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, the project is located in the Aluminum New Materials Industrial Park of the High-Tech Zone. The project is divided into two phases, with each phase having a capacity of 300,000 mt. Construction of Phase I, which has a capacity of 300,000 mt of prebaked anode per year, commenced in August 2024, and Phase II is expected to achieve a full capacity of 600,000 mt by month-end October 2025. The ignition and commencement of production of the calcining workshop in Phase I is a crucial period for the project's progress.
Once Phase I of the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 1.5 billion yuan, create approximately 100 million yuan in tax revenue, and provide 500 job opportunities, effectively boosting local economic growth and employment.
