Lei Jun: Considering integrating the second-generation Xuanjie chip into vehicles

Published: Jun 30, 2025 15:07
Lei Jun, founder and chairman of Xiaomi Group, discussed the Mystic Ring O1 chip after the launch event, stating that the chip's performance exceeded expectations. The company will consider applying the second-generation Mystic Ring chip in its vehicles. "Since self-developed chips require an R&D cycle of three to four years, the first generation was primarily for validation, hence the limited pre-order quantity. Our next step will undoubtedly involve fully self-developed quad-in-one domain controllers, paving the way for Xiaomi's self-developed chips to be integrated into vehicles in the future.
