Mitra Murni Perkasa (MMP), a subsidiary of MMS Group Indonesia (MMSGI), has officially initiated the Power On phase for its high-grade nickel matte smelter in Kariangau, Balikpapan. Fully funded by 100% domestic investment (PMDN), the project symbolizes national pride and commitment to downstream industrialization and clean energy transition. With an annual capacity of 28,000 metric tons, the smelter employs advanced, low-emission RKEF (2x48 MVA) and converter technology, powered by PLN’s grid under a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) scheme—aligning with Net Zero Emission (NZE) targets and ESG principles. As part of MMSGI’s "100% by and for the nation" vision, MMP has created 1,000 local jobs, demonstrating impactful, fully domestic downstream development.
