According to foreign media reports, recently, LG New Energy and Toyota Tsusho have established a battery recycling joint venture in the United States, further deepening the cooperation between the South Korean battery giant and the world's largest automaker, Toyota, in the field of electric vehicles. LG New Energy announced that the newly established joint venture, Green Metals Battery Innovations LLC (GMBI), will specialize in the dismantling and crushing of battery production waste to extract black powder containing valuable metals such as nickel, cobalt, and lithium, which will then be further processed to recycle raw materials.
