At the 2025 Global New Energy Vehicle Cooperation and Development Forum in Shanghai, Cold Yan, Executive Vice President of Mercedes-Benz (China), stated that starting from 2025, Mercedes-Benz will successively start production of the China-exclusive all-electric long-wheelbase CLA model and the all-new luxury all-electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform in China. The all-new long-wheelbase CLA model is the first mass-produced model of the Mercedes-Benz MMA platform, equipped with an 800V high-voltage system, a two-speed transmission, and a battery-to-wheel energy conversion rate as high as 93%, with a power consumption of 12kWh per 100 kilometers. To accelerate the electrification transformation of light commercial vehicles, Mercedes-Benz will produce the all-new all-electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform in Fujian, further enriching the local product lineup of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

【SMM Analysis】Recycled Ternary and LCO Black Mass Prices See Minor Rebound This Week (2025.6.23-2025.6.26)

This week, following the announcement of import/export restrictions by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), cobalt sulfate prices continued to rise, nickel sulfate prices remained stable, while lithium carbonate prices saw a minor rebound and fluctuated. The recovery rates for black mass like ternary and lithium cobalt oxide (LCO) remained flat this week, with the cobalt rate seeing a slight increase and the lithium rate continuing to decline. Currently, lithium point prices for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode black mass range from 2,150 to 2,300 yuan per lithium point, while LFP battery black mass lithium points range from 1,950 to 2,100 yuan. Taking ternary black mass as an example: current nickel-cobalt recovery rates for ternary cathode black mass are 72-74%, with lithium recovery rates at 66-70%. Recovery rates for ternary battery black mass nickel-cobalt are 70-72%.
