On June 25, the 400,000 kW/1.6 million kWh standalone ESS project of Dongfang Xuneng in Keping County, Aksu, Xinjiang, officially commenced construction in the PV park of Keping County. The total investment of the project reached 3 billion yuan, covering an area of over 200 mu (approximately 13.33 hectares), and was invested and constructed by Dongfang Xuneng (Shandong) Technology Development Co., Ltd. The estimated investment and construction period of the project is 6 months, with a production and operation period of 20 years. Upon completion, the project's annual output value will reach 200 million yuan, contributing over 9 million yuan in taxes and providing employment for approximately 30 local people. Additionally, Keping County is located at a critical period of the 750 kV Achu transmission channel. After grid connection, the project can rapidly respond to supply and demand changes such as peak shaving and valley filling in the power grid through flexible frequency modulation and peak shaving, directly improving the stability of the power grid in Aksu, Hotan, Kashgar, and even the southern Xinjiang region. It is of great significance for enhancing the regional new energy consumption level and promoting high-quality economic and social development in the county.
